For a permit to be valid on a vehicle, all three (3) of the following conditions must be met to avoid a parking citation:
- Permit Status: The permit must be in Paid status. Approved status is NOT valid and Payment is required.
- Vehicle Assignment: The vehicle must be assigned/registered to a Paid, Current Term (or Daily), permit.
- License Plate Accuracy: The license plate number must be entered correctly.
How can I check to see if my permit meets all three (3) of these conditions?

- Semester permits allow two (2) vehicles to be registered to a permit, but only one (1) vehicle can use the permit at a time. You can have a maximum of two (2) vehicles "selected" on a permit, but only one (1) of the selected vehicles can use the permit at a time. Both will be recognized as having a valid permit (as long as the permit is in PAID status and vehicle license plate has been entered correctly). If both of the selected vehicles are parked on campus at the same time, a daily permit must be purchased for one of them. Both vehicles cannot use the same permit at the same time.
- Daily permits allow only one (1) vehicle to be on a permit and are valid for one (1) day only.
- Motorcycles require a Motorcycle permit and are required to park in motorcycle parking spaces. They cannot be added as an additional vehicle to an automobile semester permit and vice versa.
Daily permits cost $4. They are valid for one (1) day and can be purchased:
- ONLINE - Virtual "Daily" permits can be purchased online from the permit portal. Your license plate serves as your parking permit. One-day permits can be purchased for the same day as your visit or for a future date. Only one (1) vehicle is allowed on a virtual daily permit. See "How to Purchase a Parking Permit" above.
- PERMIT MACHINES - located in each lot at either the SLO or NCC campus. These paper permits must be placed face-up on your dashboard in clear view. Payments accepted at machines: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or one-dollar ($1) bills only. Machine does not give change.
- IN-PERSON - at 51反差黑料 Police Department located on the SLO campus, building 7500. (Across from the baseball field on Chorro Valley Road.)
Permits are not lot, roadway, or campus specific. If you purchase a daily permit, it is valid the same day in any lot or roadway on 51反差黑料 property on the SLO and Paso Robles campus.
Daily permits are valid in General parking spaces only. (see ADA parking for exceptions)
If the permit machine in the parking lot is broken or doesn't print a permit, please call CCPD at 805-546-3205 to report the problem. A problem with a permit machine is not a reason for not having a valid permit.

lot or roadway on either the SLO or Paso Robles (NCC) campus.
2. Purchase a permit online from the permit portal.

State law and the California Education code regulates college and university parking programs. The San Luis Obispo County Community College District Board of Trustees has established Rules and Regulations to control traffic and parking safety on the college campus as prescribed under Section 21113 of the California Vehicle Code.
The program of "pay for parking" on campus is based on the concept that parking facilities must be paid for by the user. Money collected for parking permits reimburses the college for the cost of operating and managing parking facilities. Enforcement of the parking regulations is the responsibility of the 51反差黑料 Police Department.
If you have any questions regarding parking permits, please call the 51反差黑料 Police Department at 805-546-3205 or email us at ccpd@cuesta.edu.
